Experiencing the Nightlife of Son Bou

Son Bou may be small but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t perfectly formed as far as the nightlife is concerned. A Son Bou holiday offers the best nightlife in Menorca with something to suit every member of the family.

Once you have left your Son Bou villa ensure that you start the evening the best possible way; with cocktails! Bou Hai is the ideal place on a Son Bou holiday to have a few drinks and with a number of specially adapted virgin concoctions you can even bring the children along; who are bound to love the cute roller skating waitresses. With a name like Bou Hai, you won’t be surprised to hear that the bar specialises in Hawaiian tiki concoctions and whilst the Pina Coladas are very good, it is the fresh fruit daiquiris which are the bars speciality.

One venue that you won’t be able to take the children too is the Discoteca Son Bou. So for adults only you can spend an evening on your Son Bou holiday dancing along to a mixture of cheese and club classics.

Because of the small size of the resort all of the major bars and restaurants are located within a ten minute walk of the main villas in Son Bou, which means that it is very easy to find your way around on a night out. Son Bou’s smaller bars are well known for their warm and friendly atmosphere. However, most of the evening entertainment on a Son Bou holiday takes place in hotels of the region. Son Bou is a family orientated resort and as such many of the hotels regularly host variety shows during the summer season. You do not always need to stay at these hotels in order to experience the entertainment that they have to offer on your Son Bou holiday and often a cover charge or a few drinks in the hotel bar are enough to secure you some excellent evening entertainment on your Son Bou holiday.

There are three bars which are open late and these are Mojitos, Copacabana and Casablanca. However, if you’ve brought the children along and are looking for evening entertainment that is a bit more family orientated then head to the bowling alley which features a ten pin bowling arcade alongside pool tables and arcade machines. This is bound to be a hit with all family members whilst on your Son Bou holiday.

One of the best ways to spend a relaxing evening on a Son Bou holiday is by sampling the local cuisine. If your children are fussy eaters then you’ll pleased to note the restaurants are happy to accommodate them. However, more adventurous eaters should take the opportunity to sample some traditional Menorcan food at the Casa Andreas which provides a selection of traditional tapas and seafood dishes. However, the best thing about Casa Andreas is that it’s located opposite the Bou Hai Bar and those fruit daiquiris can also help provide the perfect ending to your Son Bou holiday.
